Several partners contributed to the BP elaboration within Horizon Results Booster service. During Progress Meeting PM3, one new opportunity was identified by the project coordinators and MEDIS committed to take the lead for this service application since it is the main beneficiary of its outcome. This service aims to assist beneficiaries to bring their results closer to the market by developing an effective business plan. The activities include capacity building virtual workshops, webinar and coaching session.
After gathering the minimum information needed with the help of involved partners, especially the Key Exploitable results (KER) of the project and their respective technology readiness level (TRL), MEDIS filled-in the on-line application form the 30th March 2022 and it received the positive response. Experts from Italian company Ciaotech were assigned 1st April (Anna Franciosini and Patricia Circelli) and the work started 15th April by the introductory meeting.
This mission took place during 5 weeks between 20th May and 27th June 2022. During these 5 weeks, the beneficiaries from Medis, CBS, USJ and BIBPCA participated in one Webinar, two workshops (WS) and one coaching session (CS) to understand first the basic concepts and the contents that need to be included in a business plan.
The work plan was organized in 3 main phases. The first phase consisted in information collection about the project and self-assessment of the readiness of the solution. This phase lead to a set of guidelines to draft the first version of the Business Plan. The second step focused on the capacity building of beneficiaries by on-line sessions with the expert and lead to the delivery of the tools needed to construct the Business Plan: (i) Lean Canvas, (ii) Javelin Board and (iii) Value Proposition Canvas. The third step consisted in the realization of the Business Plan going through the KER form and the exploitation Roadmap. The service ended by the final recommendations of the expert to continual improvement of the Business Plan. Since the time was restricted and the partners aimed to deliver a drafted business plan for the progress meeting PM5, all the phases were undergone in parallel.
